The barnyard talent show is coming up, and get this: First prize is a set of tickets to see Elvis Poultry! Of course, the chickens are excited, and determined to win the prize. However, those annoying bullies, the ducks are going to do all they can to steal the show!
It's a talent show, and the chickens don't seem to have any talent – with everything they try, it seems they end up with egg on their faces. In the end, however, it's their Chicken Dance that wins the day.
Lively illustrations, clever and sometimes subtle humor, and lots of word play add to the fun.
Even though this book is aimed at four- to eight-year-olds, this momma laughed out loud during the reading. I like that in a read aloud.
