Here's a delightfully absurd tale that just keeps getting better and better. You've probably said something like this yourself: “Clean your room, or we're going to...” In Billy Twitter's case, his parents threaten to get him a blue whale if he doesn't shape up. Billy reacts the same way any regular boy would; he doesn't take this threat seriously.
He should have. The next morning he wakes up, and there in front of his house is his very own blue whale, with all the privileges and responsibilities therein. And so we're off, reading about Billy Twitter's Blue Whale Problem, as Billy goes through a typical day, accompanied everywhere by his new companion.
The whimsical illustrations (with occasional diagram thrown in to remind the reader just how big a blue whale is) and lively text will keep you chortling as you turn the pages, right up until the end when Billy comes up with a unique solution to the problems posed by his enormous pet.
