Know much about cows? How about farm crops? Ever build a barn? Well, you're in for a treat with Treasure Box Press' Science Adventures: Down on the Farm for your PreK through 3rd-grade learners. This kit, shipped in heavy cardboard printed to look like a treasure box, is one of a dozen for young learners. It includes the hardcover book The Hen from the "Old MacDonald's Farm" series from Mimosa Books; a 10-page teacher's guide; and a 16-page, non-reproducible student booklet. The box is also filled with what your student will need to make a fluffy sheep, a cow puppet, and a barnyard mobile, explore the life cycle of a bean and the foodstuff in your own pantry, plus take an exit test. With some items from around your own home, your child can even make homemade butter. This kind of learning is fun and makes great memories.
